Hi (Xin Chào), my name is David.
I’m not a native Vietnamese, but after living here for 12 years, I truly consider myself local. I arrived in Vietnam, fell in love with the country, and never left.
Vietnam, and especially Ho Chi Minh City, became a big part of my life. I’d love to share that passion with you.
Over the years, I’ve explored Vietnam from North to South, East to West, and I’ve covered large parts of Ho Chi Minh City.
Over time, friends planning trips started asking me for advice, and I found myself really enjoying helping them explore the real Ho Chi Minh City.
Then people I didn’t even know began reaching out. What began as simple, friendly help slowly grew into a small consulting activity.
By September 2025, I decided to officially launch Saigon With Me, offering travelers a personal and authentic way to experience Vietnam.
✮ All communication is handled directly by me; no agencies or third parties are involved.
✮ I’m yours almost 24/7 — from 7 AM until 2 AM the next morning.
Just say the word - and I’m on to it.

“WOW, what an experience. I wanted a real look at the city, not the guidebook spots — and I also wanted a long walk to keep me moving. David ended up taking me on a 20+ km walk through places I’d never find on my own. Exactly what I was hoping for.”
“I worked with David to plan a 3‑week trip across Vietnam — simply amazing. He restructured my itinerary and saved me hundreds of dollars with smart tips.”
“I came to Ho Chi Minh City for a one-week mix of business and pleasure — and luckily, I met David. From the first minutes, it felt like traveling with a friend. I joined 2 daytime walks, a nightlife tour, and even a weekend trip to Vung Tau. Every moment was a joy. What an expert, what a great service!”
“Flexible, friendly, and knows every hidden spot. We took a half‑day trip that included the early morning romantic walk — unforgettable!”
“David made our first day in Saigon unforgettable — I saw local life I’d never have found alone. Highly recommended!”
“What an expert, what a great service!”

You can mix or split segments into one customizable half/full-day package.
🎨 Theme-Based Routes
Each walk follows a unique local theme, giving every route its own character and purpose.
🛵 Vast Travel Experience
I’ve explored Vietnam from north to south by every form of transportation available here. That experience shapes every route I create.

Q: Where do we meet for the city walk or the start of the service?
A: Usually, I’ll meet you in downtown Ho Chi Minh City (District 1). Upon request and depending on the location, I can pick you up — a surcharge may apply.
Q: Is this a guided tour?
A: No — it’s a personal companion service that focuses on real, flexible experiences, not scripted guidance.
Q: So, what’s the difference between a traditional tour guide and your companion service?
A: A traditional tour guide leads a structured tour with a fixed route, fixed timetable, and often mixed groups. Their main role is to explain each place, provide historical and cultural background, and guide visitors through a predefined itinerary.
My service is different. I’m not a licensed tour guide — I’m your personal companion.
A companion experience focuses on:
✮ Planning the route together, based on your interests, energy, and schedule
✮ Walking side by side, not leading a group
✮ Exploration instead of lecturing — I share practical insights, local tips, and real-life knowledge, but I don’t deliver scripted explanations for every landmark
✮ Flexibility: we can stop anywhere you like, stay longer, skip places, or change direction
✮ Privacy: no mixed groups; it’s just you (solo), a couple, or close friends (up to 4)
✮ Authentic local experience rather than a guided tour format
In short:
✮ A tour guide explains the city.
✮ I help you experience the city — personally, flexibly, and at your pace.
Q: Do you work with groups? (mixed people that I do not know)
A: No mixed groups. I host solo-travelers (individuals), couples, or close friends (up to 4 people).
Q: How do I pay?
A: Payment is made in cash at the start of the trip, when we meet. Online consultations are paid via bank transfer or PayPal.
Q: What languages do you support?
✮ All communication is conducted in English.
✮ We provide some packages, including nearby HCMC options in Japanese (if possible).
Q: Can I combine activities or split my time?
A: Yes. Tailor your trip — start time, duration, and content. Packages can be split into 2–3 parts and span 1–2 days.
Q: How far should I book in advance?
A: Preferably within one week, but I can accommodate short notice where possible.
Q: What if it rains or my plans change?
A: You can usually reschedule. Weather adjustments are easy.
Q: Are meals or transport included?
A. One small bottle of water is provided per person; all other expenses are excluded. For nearby trips, transport is included if I accompany you.
Q: Can you help me plan my wider Vietnam route?
A: Yes — that’s part of the Cross-Vietnam Consultation service.

Traveler Responsibility — Travelers are expected to have valid healthcare and/or travel insurance and be reasonably fit for light walking and city exploration (3–12 km depending on the package). Safety, personal belongings, and health remain your responsibility during the trip.

Companion Role — Saigon With Me acts solely as an independent local companion and planning service, not a licensed tour operator or travel agency. The client acknowledges full responsibility for personal decisions, activities, and safety.
Liability — SaigonWith.Me is not liable for any injury, loss, accident, delay, or inconvenience caused by third-party services or circumstances beyond our control (weather, strikes, force majeure). All additional costs are the traveler's responsibility.
